Associate professor Ingrid Halland from Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies at the University of Bergen will hold two lectures at Faculty of Art, Music and Design on 30th of August.

Lecture I: The mid-1960s: consumer culture, advertising and optimism, radical uprising, The Frankfurt School.

Lecture II: Late 1960s and the early 1970s: Climate and environment, political activism and feminism.

The course, which is an undergraduate course in art history, KUN108, provides an overview of central art works, art theoretical concepts and theoretical discussions related to visual art, architecture, and visual culture in the period after 1950.
