Monday Lecture

The Museum of Longing and Failure (MOLAF) is a collecting entity established in Bergen in 2010 by the Canadian artists Andrew Taggart and Chloe Lewis. The MOLAF takes shape through a sustained conversation with living artists and collectives, whose contributed sculptural works form the basis of ongoing installations, interventions, publications, and, more recently, the production of new forms.

Since its inception, the MOLAF has presented works by over eighty artists and made appearances in Bergen, Copenhagen, New York City, Dawson City, Krakow, Leipzig, Amfissa, Trondheim, Vancouver, Berlin, and Toronto. For its nineteenth iteration, the MOLAF returns to Bergen with an exhibition across two venues – USF and HKS – that runs from April 6th to 29th, 2018.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Lewis & Taggart will present a talk on the project’s history and development at KMD on Monday, April 9th at 7pm.
