As many as 13 of the master's students at the Art Academy each received a grant of NOK 45,000 during this year's master's ceremony. It is Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond (BKH) that awards the scholarships. A grant from Norske Kunsthåndverkere was also awarded, and solo exhibitions were awarded grants from Tag Team and Trykkeriet as well as studio spaces at USF Verftet. Last, but not least, the Nordic Artist's center Residency was awarded.

About Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond (BKH)
Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond was established by Stortinget in connection to the law about taxed art in 1948. The law imposes a 5% tax on all public sales in Norway of fine art, photography and crafts. The funds from the fee are distributed back to the artists in the form of remuneration, grants, grants and prizes. Since its inception, the art tax has returned over NOK 650 million to artists in Norway. The art tax and BKH thereby make a significant contribution to the promotion of artistic diversity and new production of art in Norway.

About Norske Kunsthåndverkeres student prize
NK's student prize awarded annually to one student at the University of the Arts in Oslo, Department of Arts and Crafts (KHiO), and one student at the University of Bergen, Faculty of Art, Music and Design, The Art Academy – Department of Contemporary Art. NK's student prize aims to highlight master's projects that are interesting for the identity and development of the field of craftmanship.
