Asking how illustration may communicate profound human issues considered unrepresented or non-representable, the project explores narratives about “us” and “the others” through illustration. The project started with the streamed cross-disciplinary symposium Transposition as Artistic Practice. A residency, workshops and exhibitions are parts of the agenda of the project. Three artistic research projects through illustration are embedded from the start of the project, and more will join as the project develops. Two more symposia are planned; Materiality in 2021 and The Non-Representable concluding the project in 2022.
