Itzel Esquivel is a Mexican researcher currently based in Norway. She/they are part of the program team at the Office for Contemporary Art Norway, OCA. 

Her/their work looks into tensions between aesthetics and politics in Latin America, as well as for intersections between race, gender, class, social-engaged practices, long-term processes, and critical institutional activism from a queer/cuir, transfeminist, perspective. 

Her/their collaboration with art institutions includes Museo Tamayo (Mexico), Museo Universitario Arte Contemporaneo, MUAC (Mexico), PARQUE Galeria (Mexico), Galleri Format Oslo (Norway), and osloBIENNALEN (Norway).
