Louise Butler (b. 1982)
Louise is an Irish Artist where methods of investigation take form in multidisciplinary areas, her practice flows between painting, installation and performance.
Intrigued by the natural environment, dramatic scenery of majestic landscape, mountains, islands and the surrounding elements. The relationship we have with nature is ambivalent. Nature as commodity is transformed into a spectacle to admire from very close. The idyllic land has now been framed for us. Landscape is the object to be consumed.
