Dr. Yanki Lee (HK)
Social designer and activist, founder of Enable Foundation

With a background in architecture and a PhD in Design Participation, Dr. Lee explores the ways in which creative participation can foster social inclusion and innovation. In 2013, after years of research and practice in the UK, Dr. Lee moved back to her hometown and founded the Social Design Research Lab<http://www.hkdi.desislab.vtc.edu.hk/> at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI). Here, she continues her research on new design practice in addressing social issues, and in 2017 received Hong Kong Government's Social Innovation Fund to design for Social Innovation for a better Hong Kong.

Scott Burnham is a writer and strategist behind initiatives in over a dozen cities worldwide, more than 30 exhibitions in eight nations, and numerous books, publications and articles.

The most recent initiative, Reprogramming the City, a global exploration of how the city’s existing structures, surface and systems can be repurposed to do more, has appeared at the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design in Stockholm, Sweden, the Danish Architecture Centre, Copenhagen, Denmark, the Boston Society of Architects, Boston, MA, and Virginia Center for Architecture, Richmond, VA. The latest version of the project is currently being developed for Bergen, Norway.

He lectures frequently in numerous countries and have addressed The World Bank, The World Urban Development Congress, and many other institutions and organizations, as well as serving as a visiting instructor for the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. I am the author of Finding the Truth in Systems: In Praise of Design Hacking, Editor and Co-Author of Urban Play, Editor of the Trust Design series with Volume Magazine, the forthcoming Reprogramming the City book,  and a contributor to a number of publications ranging from The Guardian to Architizer.
