(She/her, b.1999. NO) Protest, solidarity and resistance form the foundation of my artistic practice. Through mainly text and photography, I work to be a counterweight to the passive and indifferent attitude that many people have when facing the injustices of the world. We are the contemporary witnesses to a livestreamed genocide that is too easy to scroll past. I have therefore been particularly interested in the “silent” protests we pass by in our everyday lives. Posters on garbage cans. Stickers in grocery stores. Graffiti on the walls of public toilets. For some, it is a reminder that they cannot hide from other people’s reality, and for others, a reminder that they are not alone in their fight for a FREE PALESTINE By using art as a platform for activism, I want to give shape to my silent protest, as well as invite others to shape theirs.
