Current function that I am working on: 

Sine∿ A circle function

It follows the curve of a Sine wave by marking something that is going up, A peak. Then down, A depression. It results in a circle. 

You are invited to the second part of the Function Activation:

The opening of the Bachelors exhibition. 

Sine∿ includes: 

A walk across the Mountains 

For the activators of the function, an attunement. 

A Depression Contour 

The Depression Contour is the only element that stays throughout the exhibition period. 

A spatialized vocal score marked in white vinyl on the concrete floor of the institution KMD, Faculty of Art, Music & Design. The words are written with the font of the institution, Galaxy Polaris (Book). 

Alongside the Depression Contour an activation instruction is sticked to the floor in white vinyl. So that everyone who passes by can walk and articulate the Depression Contour with the help of their phone. 

Use your phone as a metronome 

Find the tempo that matches the circle you want to walk 

Articulate the word as you reach it on the beat 

On the 9th of May 2025 at 12.15 ECTS The Depression Contour will be articulated by the voices of Sofia Guidi, Lovise Espeland and Andrea Ostenfeldt Nielsen. 

Accompaniment: Three amplified metronomes in 40, 50, 60 Bpm. Each circle of the contour has its own tempo.

A Ballad 

Nykkjen

A traditional song dance walked in circle with a text that centres around the battle between light and darkness. On the 9th of May 2025 Nykkjen will crossfade with Depression Contour.
