Bio

To live is to suffer. Yet there is also light, colour and beauty. Illness early in life made me painfully aware of mortality, painting became life-giving. I’m interested in the absurdity and complexity of life, and painting becomes a way of trying to make sense of both the outer and inner worlds. Trying to find meaning is probably impossible and a consequence of being human, I try anyway and paint a tree.
