The Great Unwind
What does prosperity look like without economic growth? This project explores the concept of degrowth—a movement that challenges the idea that more is always better—and invites reflection on our values and ways of living. Through speculative visual storytelling, it imagines life in a postgrowth society, where wellbeing, sustainability, and community are prioritized over endless production and consumption.
The project aims to create reflection on how our daytoday lives may change in a world where we’ve changed our perception of value away from economic growth and instead focus on the wellbeing of our planet and its inhabitants. What does it really mean to live within the ecological limits of the planet? How do we spend our time? What kind of work do we do? What do we eat, and how do we govern? These are some of the questions explored through my project, offering a glimpse into a future shaped by balance rather than excess growth.
