Celina Hofmann

Visual Communication

Bio

I am Celina Hofmann, a German designer with a passion for creating. After studying Media Design in Munich, I moved to Bergen to pursue my Master’s with a focus on Visual Communication. For me, design is about uncovering what often goes unnoticed. Driven by curiosity and ambition, I constantly explore new ways to bring ideas to life. Whether in print, digital, or something in between, I love experimenting with different forms of visual expressions and creative processes.

PROJECT

Visualizing the Unseen

Fear is often invisible, yet it profoundly shapes how people experience the world. This project explores phobias, aiming to raise awareness and challenge perceptions, fostering greater understanding and acceptance.
Implemented as the awareness campaign unseen, it brings phobias into focus through typography as an abstract visual element, making these oftenover looked experiences more tangible and visible. At its core is a customdesigned typeface that visually translates the feeling of fear – unstable, distorted, and fragmented. By balancing clarity and disruption, the campaign attempts to do more than just inform – it immerses, allowing people to see fear through the eyes of those who live with it.

Unseen sparks conversations, challenges assumptions, and ensures that phobias are not just acknowledged but truly seen and understood.
