Bio

I am a German 25-year-old interdisciplinary designer, obsessed with everything that is bold, bright and space-taking. With a background in sustainable design, I work at the intersection of animation and illustrative graphic design, using visual storytelling to evoke emotions, spark reflection, and encourage critical thinking. Topics that particularly spark my interest and influence my practise are feminism, identity and philosophy.

PROJECT

Conversations about everything I (don’t) want to talk about

Shame is a feeling we can all relate to. It’s one of the primary emotions, that shape us continuously during life, especially during our years of adolescence. Usually it is an uncomfortable sensation, we do not want to feel, or we want to avoid at all costs. But what if shame would not be something that scary?

“Conversations about everything I (don’t) want to talk about“ explores the feeling of shame through short animated videos that immerse the viewer in personal experiences of shame. By placing the recipient in the protagonist’s perspective, the stories evoke recogni tion and empathy, and let the stories become the view er’s own. Addressing topics like body image, sexuality, class, and belonging, the project centers around day today experiences. It challenges the isolating nature of shame, fostering understanding and empowerment.
Blending illustration, animation, and storytelling, it highlights how moments of shame do not define who we are but connect us in our shared vulnerabilities.
