Olav Mathisen

Bio

Olav Mathisen (1990) graduated with a bachelor's degree from Kunst- og Designhøgskolen i Bergen in 2016. Mathisen is a visual artist and mainly works with painting and installation. The works are process-based with a focus on various painterly techniques and materials. Mathisen works to explore the tension between the original material, abstraction and figuration, and thus works with fragments both in terms of subject matter and process.
