Martine Karlsen

Bio

Martine Ekren Karlsen (b. 1990, Norway) works with drawing, graphics, sculpture, textile, and installation. Coming from a medical background, she explores the human body and mind through rhythmic, hand-drawn patterns inspired by cellular structures, connecting nature, movement, perception and organic structures. Her works translate medical experience into immersive optical installations that stimulate perception and bodily awareness.
