Jenny Hellström

Bio

Jenny Hellström is a new media artist (b. Mölndal, Sweden 1998) and currently a bachelor student at Bergens University of Fine Art, she is expected to graduate in spring 2022. Prior to this she studied at Kronobergs konstskola in Växjö. Jenny first got interested working with digital media in high school where she studied game graphics at Ljud och Bild Skolan in Helsingborg. She uses technology and digital media in order to produce her projects, which often center around mundane experiences, she explores domestic rooms by dissecting and rebuilding them in a virtual space. The way she works with digital media allows her projects to take on a surrealistic expression. Much of her work touches upon the feeling of hopelessness surrounding the potential environmental crises.
