Role: MA Program Coordinator
I’m incredibly proud of this year’s graduating class of new masters in Design. Their work shows the breadth of the field and the depth of their research into their projects, themes, and ideas. One of the great strengths of our master program is the opportunity for students to immerse themselves in their topics, to engage with the real-world contexts and circumstances out which their designs emerge, and to critically and holistically engage with these real-world conditions that can positively transform people’s lives and experiences.
As educators, we highly value the transformative experience that this process brings to students. It is a high point of our careers to bear witness to the fruit of all their labor, their late nights, their stresses, their challenges, and their breakthroughs. We also value that we can learn from them, to hear the perspectives of students from all over the world who come to Bergen to study with us, to do us the honor of their interest, their presence, their engagement, their creativity, and their motivation to create something. It is deeply inspiring to see the drive and commitment that has taken these new masters so far in pursuit of their goals. Their collected works exemplify our highest values: openness, curiosity, and empathy.
We invite you to celebrate with us their accomplishment in this exhibition of their work. Enjoy the soup!
