Eirin is an artist and designer based in Bergen, Norway. At this point in time they’re interested in working with speculative, discursive and critical design in order to understand more of the world around them, to learn from others and to do as much research as possible into themes they find gratifying, interesting and important.
PROJECT TITLE
‘There will be a spoon shortage’ aims to explore how we relate (and don’t relate) to spoon theory and the implications spoon-shortages have on individuals, minority groups and society at large.

What is your position in the spooniverse? Have you counted your spoons today? How many spoons may you need to preserve? Do you have any spoon-savings? Have you created any new spoons today? How far in spoon-debt are you? Centering on the significance of spoon theory and how we can experience a lack of, or surplus of spoons, this project looks critically and speculatively at how the current, worldwide spoon-economy works, questions how we consider effort and laziness, and how we consider our own and our fellow humans spoon-usage.
