PROJECT TITLE

'The Presence of Absence'

The alphabetical letters that once carried wondrous imagery of animals, humans and objects are fading away to invisibility amongst us in our daily life.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This project is one of introspection. As much as it deals with design, it also deals with seeing oneself as human, and with that our relationship to what surrounds us. In this case, the project looks through the eyes of our letters, and the invisibility that they’ve come to carry. The letters we use, with their long history and evolution, have been reduced to a tool of neglect and indifference. My wish is to bring a  presence to their absence, to make oneself reflect on our relationship and use of them – and fill that void.
