Imi Maufe's project for STUDIO has the working title A Hut and a Missing Red Horse. Maufe has been artist-in-residence in a boathouse in Shetland, in an old school in Finland, in an English country house and on board a sailing ship. Maufe has also established several residences in the UK and Norway, among them the Bergen Atelier group's residency program BAG Art Camp.
Imi Maufe has an interdisciplinary art practice in which working in residencies is a method. With a background in landscape architecture and multidisciplinary printmaking, Maufe is interested in how physical environments can shape creative work, taking the form of artist books, printmaking, installations and interactions. www.imimaufe.com
