The 18th annual Ice Music Festival takes place 1100 metres above sea level, and under a full moon. Ice music, art, literature, dance and climate science is merged together in a sensational arena in snow and ice.

This year Professor Petter Bergerud from KMD brings an international team. Students and professionals from Uganda, Iran, Australia, China, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Germany and Norway will be part of an international conversation with a focus on the global situation we are now a part of. They will work together to stage a conversation with experiments and forms that will create a common arena, the Ice Castle. The international team of 20 students will stay and work for a week to create the Ice Castle out of ice and snow, and they will be directly guided by how the local climate in Bergsjø decides to behaviour in January.
