BA Fine Art 2026
Entering my bachelor project at KMD, working with ceramics, and rediscovering toys from my childhood, I found myself wanting to work with these toys in my ceramic practice. I was fascinated by these objects aesthetically in their display and functionalities, both in their intricate design and their cultural identity of playfulness. Finding the physical act of shaping clay similar to the creative engagement I associate with the toys. With this in my mind, I set out to work with the recreation of my childhood toys, investigating the relation of materiality and play and their connection to memory, material culture, and nostalgia.
