My work explores states of transition in materials and bodies through sculptural forms and installations. I work with both organic and synthetic materials such as polyurethane foam, wax, seeds, plant fibres, natural pigments and silicone, allowing them to expand, bind or dissolve into unstable, bodily or organic surfaces. I am interested in the boundary between inside and outside, where matter appears to grow, spill or break through. The body is not represented directly but emerges as a presence within these material processes. Through transformation and tactile surfaces, the works create situations in which perception becomes uncertain and materials appear almost alive.
