Clara Marques (Brazil/Italy, 1997) is an art historian, art mediator and photographer investigating interspecific relations between humans and non-human animals, specifically in traditional contexts that involve the transformation of non-human animals into food. Through analogue photography, videos and texts, she aims to highlight the complexity of these practices. Autonomy, sustainability and ethical dilemmas are at the core of her work.
