Bio

Dorota Dziong (she/her) works with painting, animation/video, and installation, using absurdity through strange juxtapositions and narratives. Her recent work explores the intrinsic human need for containment—both physical shelter for our bodies and containers for the things we collect. The animations feature sets made from found objects and cardboard, inhabited by anxious, imperfect creatures navigating impermanent homes. She creates new spaces and transforms existing ones through a blend of fact and fiction, documentation and invention.
