Odin Austefjord (NO) immerses himself in the world of wood, driven by a deep passion for both trees and their materiality. His fascination may come from a childhood surrounded by woodwork, a love for nature, or most likely, a mix of both. In his practice, he explores how external forces shape and transform wood’s qualities. This includes processes like natural decay or mechanical pressure. Lately he has had a focus on sculptural works.
