PROJECT TITLE

The Utility of Objects in Discourse: Exploring alternative ways of communicating

Societies are products of long-standing human collaboration. Today’s existential threats, likewise, demand significant collaborative efforts from all directions. But information has become increasingly complex, for many reasons, and is negatively impacting these efforts. Meanwhile our individual and collective beliefs about human existence are increasingly defined by our roles as producers. This project explores other ways of communicating complex concepts and ideas using objects; inspired by science exploratoriums and games. How can the use of objects in discourse improve collaboration? Can it inspire new approaches to solve urgent problems, or at least encourage understanding across different perspectives and skillsets?
