Bio

Anette Hov (b. 2000, Oslo, Norway) is an interior architect and furniture designer from Oslo. Her main focus is interior architecture, searching smart solutions and creating spaces where people feel comfortable. As the digital world is taking over she finds it important to take care of our feelings in a more physical way. She also thinks environmental design and sustainability is interesting and important, and tries to use existing features or testing new concepts like biomaterials or new solutions that are better for the world. Her design process is very organized and deliberate, as Anette finds these qualities to be important for creativity, and for good solutions to be discovered.

PROJECT TITLE

Hvem Skal Trøste Folket? — Sorgnaust på Marøy

Through this master project, the aim is to create a space for people experiencing grief. It’s challenging for individuals to navigate grief, especially when societal norms push us to resume our regular lives immediately. Someone experiencing grief goes through heavy emotions that can have a lasting impact on mental and physical health. There are institutions offering round-the-clock treatment for individuals with severe conditions, but what about those who struggle, but don’t struggle enough? The project’s aim is to design a space to assist otherwise healthy individuals, where architecture and the nature of Marøy can let their mind, body, and soul heal.
