İrem Şentürk (b. 1998, Antalya, Türkiye) is an interior architect and designer. She began her career at an architectural firm after earning her bachelor's degree. There, she contributed to various aspects of architectural practice, including design and on-site construction activities. İrem's interest in the relationship between design and human behavior led her to explore the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and environmental design. Today, she continues to pursue her passion for creating impactful design solutions, drawing from her diverse experiences to craft spaces that nurture the body, mind, and spirit.

Designing for Recovery: A Holistic Approach to Rehabilitation Center Environments

 

The project aims to improve drug rehabilitation centers by implementing innovative design strategies centered on holistic healing and well-being. Drawing from principles of therapeutic design, environmental psychology, and evidence-based practices, the objective is to create transformative spaces that facilitate physical recovery and nurture emotional resilience. By carefully considering the spatial layout, stimulation through senses, and environmental elements, the aim is to elevate the standard of care in rehabilitation centers, enriching the lives of individuals on their journey to recovery.
