Her areas of expertise encompass function, spatial planning, participation, form, and color. Throughout history, architecture and interior design have predominantly catered to the privileged in society. Adele is deeply passionate about exploring symbolism in architecture and advocating for the prioritization of certain architectural styles. She questions why public facilities such as addiction treatment centers or mental health facilities aren't given precedence. Engaged in social issues, she firmly believes that interior architecture can fulfill a crucial social function.

PROJECT TITLE

Rom for Helse — Design av et Norsk Psykiatrisk Sykehusmiljø

This project explores the role of designers in specialized healthcare services. It presents a design concept for a psychiatric hospital focusing on how spatial design and interior architecture can contribute to reducing conflict levels in psychiatric institutions and enhancing patient safety. The project aims to create a spatial concept that enhances users’ quality of life, providing a framework for a community where mental health is prioritized—a safe space for engagement and independence. Another aim of this master’s project is to stimulate further thought and research into human-made environments that may potentially negatively impact mental health.
