‘XBINARY’ is an experimental illustrative project within the field of visual communication. Printed with risography, hand-stitched and made through the method of visual journaling. The aim of the project is to open up a space for understanding through sharing, and healing through relatability. The project results in a graphic novel that illuminates life in the ‘other’ category, and visualises how it is to live as a non-binary person, based on the author’s own experiences.
