The project title ‘A Drop in the Ocean’ is an ancient Chinese quote that employs a metaphor to depict the stage of death: As the end of life approaches, everything including wealth, fame, and relationships, begins to decay and fade away with our conscious-ness, just like a drop of water returning to the ocean. The experience of grief inspired the project, it seeks the way to explore the issue throughout visual language manly focused on illustration, and use the skills as tool to communicate with audiences, moreover, trying to evoke viewers’s awareness and empathy towards the issue.
