Yajun Huang (b. 1997, Dongguan , China) is an illustrator and graphic designer based in China, who interested in the visual narrative with tender touch and subtle emotion. Specializing in illustration and book design, Yajun is passionate for storytelling into every stroke of brush and pixel. Beyond the creative pursuit, she enjoys traveling, visiting new places and new countries, and watching movies, with the exploration of the beauty and depths of nature.

PROJECT TITLE

Drop in the Ocean

The project title ‘A Drop in the Ocean’ is an ancient Chinese quote that employs a metaphor to depict the stage of death: As the end of life approaches, everything including wealth, fame, and relationships, begins to decay and fade away with our conscious-ness, just like a drop of water returning to the ocean. The experience of grief inspired the project, it seeks the way to explore the issue throughout visual language manly focused on illustration, and use the skills as tool to communicate with audiences, moreover, trying to evoke viewers’s awareness and empathy towards the issue.
