PROJECT TITLE

Tracing Handwriting

In today’s world, texting and typing dominate daily communication, while handwriting declines. Marshall McLuhan and John Culkin’s insight from the 1960s, ‘We shape our tools, and then our tools shape us,’ remains relevant even today. Technology has improved our lives. However, it also affects our handwriting skills and weakens our connection to the past. The project focuses on the use of handwriting and aims to raise public awareness of its value by examining the connection between individuals and the writing culture within the Bergen area.
