Bio

Growing up minutes away from the Herman Miller Design Yard, I quickly took interest in Furniture Design. These products meant something to the family it belonged to; the furniture was a family member. This, along with a passion for vintage sports cars and endurance car racing, I developed an emphatic passion for industrial products that stand the test of time and importance to the owner.

This drives my creativity. To influence empathy through design solutions and aesthetics.

PROJECT TITLE

‘Buy Nice , Never Buy Twice’

Acknowledging the relationship between product and person.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buy Nice , Never Buy Twice investigates; how can furniture participate in creating a meaningful relationship with the custodian and visitor? Can furniture carry responsibility in developing the relationship by encouraging human interaction? Could furniture that is tailored for specific human behavior, inspire sentimental value through quality and conversation.

There is an emphasis on patina. Products that change in appearance and material characteristics evolve as the relationship matures. A collection that wears age proudly from usage in a variety of environments, ownership(s) and adornment. Products that have purpose and visual presence in the space they live in.
