Bio

I am outgoing and empathetic and thrive best in the presence of different types of people. As an interior architect I want to contribute to solving social and practical problems we face in our society, as well as making the human feel comfortable in spaces. Within my professional field, what I enjoy the most is selection of colors and materials and their influence on humans, empathetic design, the creative process, drawing and sketching solutions, overall and concise design.

PROJECT TITLE

‘Sætre Gård’

Rehabilitation of an historic building and area development to fill community needs and strengthen community identity.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a coastal town by the Oslo fjord called Sætre, where I grew up, lies an old farmstead with historical value; Sætre Gård.

What once was an anonymous old farmstead has through this master’s project been transformed into a flexible meeting spot for the local community, which they were lacking before. This concept utilizes both Sætre Gård and the surrounding area, and the design is inspired by the shapes and colors of the local nature with emphasis on the Oslo fjord. The use of colors and materials will make the user feel safe and welcomed into their new community space.
