Origin: Norway

Bio

Thomas grew up in Austevoll, a collection of 667 islands and reefs south of Bergen.
He was surrounded by fishermen and boats and salt water as far as the eye could see, but somehow he ended up with a love for creating things.

He is an ambitious furniture and spatial designer with an inclination for storytelling. It connects us all and is one of the few things that we have in common, it is universal.
Thomas wants to use his love for designing as a vessel for these stories, conveying feelings, experiences and narratives.

PROJECT TITLE

‘The Queer Testament’

This is a testament of inescapable closets, of delicate church pews, and stained glass windows
- full of hope.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a room in here that holds a testament, a testament of loving someone you’re not supposed to, of living in a body that is not your own, of trying to change everything you are, just to be less than whole.

This is a queer testament.

It’s a room of deep emotion, of inescapable closets, of delicate church pews, and stained glass windows - full of hope.

The Queer Testament is a take on furniture design where feelings are deeply embedded into every piece. Evocative of emotion and curiosity, the installations are meant to inspire reflection and to shed light on what has grown comfortable in the dark.
