Bio

Elen Bringedal, born in 1992, is a Norwegian interior architect. She holds her bachelor’s degree in Spatial Design from Høyskolen Kristiania, where she graduated in 2021. She is passionate about art, nature and people, and has touch upon various fields such as clothing design, visual communication and visual art.

Eventually, she found her calling in interior architecture, which she sees as a new canvas for exploring her creative ideas. For her, it’s important to embrace change, seek variety, and create design that are both empathic and visual outstanding. Her motto is not to think outside the box, but to get rid of the box completely.

PROJECT TITLE

‘INNSYN’

 

There is a rooftop in the city of Bergen that conceals a gem of history, art and experience, waiting to be uncovered.

INNSYN is a project that deals with both the transformation of a listed building and public design. The building, better known as “Huset under broen”, is located in a bustling area, overlooked by noisy traffic and massive concrete. The project aims to showcase the building rich history, while bringing it into the modern age with cutting-edge design elements. Combining form, lights, art and history the project goals is to invite the community to engage with the space, creating a gathering place that celebrates the past, the present and the future.
