As an educational institution, KMD carries a responsibility to ensure that we do not reproduce or reinforce systemic barriers—whether for artists, students, or audiences. At a time marked by binary thinking and increasing polarization, it is more vital than ever to cultivate openness, complexity, and diversity within our practices and structures, internally and externally.
With this half-day program, we aim for orientation, discussion, reflection, and engagement around these urgent issues, at the Art Academy, KMD and beyond. Our hope is that the symposium will strengthen our shared understanding of inclusive practices and contribute to long term cultural, institutional, and real-world change.
All welcome! Light refreshements will be served.
