In the lecture, Andreas Zißler talks about the development in his practice from architecture toward site-specific sound installations, and his strategies for working with environmental conditions, making use of constraints and the unruliness encountered within the process.

Andreas Zißler is a German artist with a background in architecture and earlier training as a precision industrial mechanic. His work moves between architecture, sculpture and sound, with a focus on site-specific and performative approaches. He engages with physical and social conditions of place, often integrating his works into environmental processes that require negotiation rather than control. This results in installations, sculptural works, as well as performances and concerts. He works as an architect for sculptor Oscar Tuazon and teaches at the University of Innsbruck and the University of Art and Design Linz.
