Professor of Design History, University of Oslo

Kjetil Fallan is a leading expert in design history, specializing in the intersections of design, ecology, and material culture. As a professor at the University of Oslo, his research explores how design shapes—and is shaped by—environmental and societal contexts. His acclaimed works, including Ecological by Design: A History from Scandinavia, highlight the role of design in addressing ecological challenges. Fallan brings valuable insights into the history and future of sustainable design practices.

Alfred Decker
Founder, 12P Permaculture Design Consultancy
Alfred Decker is an award-winning permaculture designer and one of Europe's leading educators in the field. Since completing his first Permaculture Design Course in 1998 in California, he has been actively involved in ecological and social justice movements across Europe and the Americas. As the founder of 12P Permaculture Design consultancy, Alfred integrates traditional knowledge with modern science to create sustainable systems. He also serves as the Education Coordinator for Permaculture for Refugees, reflecting his commitment to applying permaculture principles to address global challenges.
