Lotte Konow Lund - How to go on, and on, and on

Monday Lectures at the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, University of Bergen is pleased to invite you all to the public lecture “How to go on, and on, and on” by artist Lotte Konow Lund.

In this lecture Lotte Konow Lund will talk about her artistic practice. Lotte Konow Lund grew up in Bergen and moved to Oslo at 16. Although she works within many mediums, drawing has been her main expression since the beginning of her education more than thirty years ago. She started the artist run mobile Gallery GI in 1997, as a student, and has later curated , written interviews and articles and been a board member for a number of organisations like UKS, Kunstnerforbundet and BONO. Since 2008 Konow Lund has held a yearly pro bono drawing course for inmates in Bredtveit prison for women, as well as working to get other artists work to the prison. She has had solo shows in several of the major Norwegian art institutions like Stenersenmuseet ,Vigelandsmuseet ,Lillehammer kunstmuseum and Henie Onstad Kunstsenter .

Konow Lund has published the books Dagbøkene 2014-2016, (The Diaries 2014-106) Teknisk Industri ,2016, and Om kunst, 25 kunstnersamtaler, ( About art, 25 conversations with artists) Forlaget oktober 2021. At present she leads a series of conversation called Art and literature, a cooperation between Oslo Kunstforening and the podcast Kunstpodden.
