Portrait of Hertha Dahlgren

Hertha Dahlgren (1992) is a Swedish clarinetist. She is an active musician and pedagogue in the Bergen area.

Hertha started playing the clarinet when she was 10 years old at the cultural school in the small town of Vänersborg in southern Sweden, and music was a large part of everyday life throughout her upbringing.

Investing in music was an obvious choice and in 2014 she moved to Bergen to start at the Grieg Academy to study with Christian Stene as her teacher. After her bachelor's degree in 2018, she worked for a few years as a teacher and in 2022 she started the Master's program in Music Performance at the Grieg Academy.

Hertha has a great passion for chamber music and has played in a number of different ensembles, which has been the main focus during the master's. In autumn 2022, she established a trio together with Marie Heddan Kortner (piano) and April Soohyun Jang (violin).  Together they call themselves Sori Trio. They have done a number of projects and concerts and have collaborated with several composers in the local area.

She looks forward to the future as a freelance clarinetist and looks forward to more exciting projects and collaborations!
