The project develops a personal musical language based on the intertwinement of rhythmic elements from two different traditions: Norwegian and Sardinian folk music. These elements (rhythms, melodic lines, expressivity and more) are used as a structural scaffold to generate new music, where influences are integrated rather than explicitly presented.
The core contribution of the project lies in treating the intertwinement of the rhythmic systems as a structural framework for music-making. Instead of using rhythm as stylistic reference, the project develops it as a compositional and improvisational scaffold capable of generating new musical forms.
The project is informed by qualities associated with Nordic jazz, esotericism—which requires further investigation due to the breadth of the concept—and silence. This positions the work both as an exploration of shared rhythmic logics and as the development of a personal artistic language.
