Nina Malterud (b.1951), artist and former Rector of the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (now Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design at the University of Bergen), has from His Majesty The King been appointed Knight of 1st class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav.

The order is given to Malterud for her pioneering organizational efforts for the benefit of art education and for her artistic work.
Malterud receives the order on 8 September 2022 at 5 p.m. at KODE Art Museums and Composer Homes, which is currently showing her works in the retrospective exhibition "Material Statements".
