In the introduction to 'Design Activismc' the students were challenge to ask a range of questions: what do you see that you can strengthen? What do you see that you want to point out? Are you proactive or reactive? Do you resist or to you generate? What do you want to change? Improve? Destroy?

The students divided into 5 different groups, and they could choose what they wanted to work on. The group that wished to work on a new design for Women’s Day consisted of: Vilde Valland Aarseth, Anny Follesøy, Matilda Erika Strandberg, Oline Løseth, Viktoria Røisli and Caroline Thanh Tran.

The motivation for design activists is to question intentions, moral and justice. Design Activism comes from Henry David Thoreau’s essay "Civil Disobedience", where he talks about not blindly obeying the  authorities, but follow you own individual consciousness.
