After having established herself as a visual artist, Anngjerd Rustand realized that she actually wanted to write poetry books. It wasn’t an easy change; as a beginner she was once again facing vulnerability and doubt. Four years later there is still no full-length book or whatever she expected, but there is a slowly expanding body of texts an images, a small press, and a number of self published riso printed publications. Anngjerd will talk about her work, about drawing and writing, and how running a press has given her more independence and freedom to do what she actually wants.

Anngjerd Rustand (b. 1982, Arendal) is an artist and writer based in Bergen, working with text, drawing, painting, and artist’s books. She holds a master’s degree from Bergen National Academy of the Arts (2010), and she has studied creative writing at Skrivekunstakademiet (2017–18). She runs a small press, Trippelpunkt, and she is involved in the self-publishing workshop Pamflett.
