My design oriented approach has always been motivated by a fascination with the overall subject of illustration, as well as being driven by a never-ending need to challenge the established. Though I am personally a lover of structure, I am often left feeling dejected and limited by the rigidity within my own field. Design as a discipline is ever-changing, and to be part of this change I need to continue to challenge myself. As a designer and visual communicator it is my job to use the tools at my hands to both explore existing concepts and ideas, as well as confront and alter them.
