Kayleigh Neff is a trumpet player from California, USA. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Music Performance at the Grieg Academy where she studies with Gary Peterson, principal trumpet of the Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester. She holds dual Bachelor degrees in Trumpet Performance and Economics from Boston University where she studied with Terry Everson. Kayleigh has been an active freelancer and music teacher in Bergen, Boston, and Sacramento. She has performed and toured in over 10 countries with groups such as the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Baltic Sea Philharmonic, Folsom Lake Symphony, and OrchestraNEXT, among others. Additionally, she was a member of all-female mariachi group Mariachi Bonitas of Sacramento, California and has appeared as a soloist with the Sacramento Youth Symphony and Dragefjellet Musikkorps. She was an International Trumpet Guild scholarship recipient in 2016. As a teacher, Kayleigh maintains a studio of private trumpet students and has worked as a conductor/music director for collegiate choirs at University of Bergen and Boston University. In addition to her performance work, Kayleigh has held administrative roles in development and engagement at the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera.
